Sometimes the sound is the part you want to keep: a voiceover, a spoken explanation or a track that fits a clip you are editing. This page saves the audio from a Reel or video link, so you can listen to it without replaying the whole video. No app, no account and no password.
To save Instagram audio, copy the link of a Reel or video, paste it into the box at the top of this page and press Download. The audio saved is the audio attached to that Reel or video. This page is not a music service, and it cannot fetch songs on their own.
The audio comes only from the Reel or video link you paste. When you download, the tool takes the sound attached to that specific post: the original voice, the voiceover, the background sound or the music the creator used in that clip. Paste a different link and you get the audio of that clip, not of anything else.
That is also the limit of the tool. It cannot look up a song by its title, browse an artist page or pull a track out of a playlist. If there is no Reel or video link, there is nothing for the tool to take audio from, so always start from the post that contains the sound you want.
The audio is offered as an MP3 file, which plays in almost every music player, phone gallery app and browser. MP3 is a good fit here because it is small, widely supported and easy to move between devices, and it keeps the spoken word and music of the clip in a single file.
Audio quality depends on the source clip. A Reel recorded with a quiet phone microphone will not sound like a studio recording after download, and this page does not clean up, boost or remaster the sound. What you get is the audio as it appears in the original Reel or video.
Reels are the most common source of audio on Instagram, because short clips are often built around a sound. Longer video posts work the same way: paste the video link and the audio from that video is what you download. The steps are identical for both, because both are video posts with a sound track.
Instagram does not have a standalone audio post format, so there is no audio-only link to paste. If a page or profile does not contain a Reel or video, it has no audio for this tool to save. The photo and story tools handle pictures and stories, which are separate formats with their own pages.
This page is not a music library, a streaming service or a song search engine. It does not download from Spotify or any other music catalogue, it does not offer charts, artists or albums, and it cannot fetch a copyrighted song on its own. Claims like that would describe a different product, not this downloader.
If you want a song itself, use the music service that licenses it. This tool exists for one job only: saving the audio that is already attached to a Reel or video link you paste, so you can keep that clip’s sound for personal listening or for a project you have permission to make.
Downloaded audio may contain music, voices or sound effects that belong to someone else. Saving audio for personal listening is one thing, but reusing it in your own public video, advert or post is different, and it needs permission from the rights holder. A popular sound in a Reel is not free for anyone to reuse just because it was public to hear.
The safe rule is simple: reuse audio only with permission. If you made the Reel yourself, or the creator has given you clear permission, you can use it as agreed. Otherwise keep the download for personal use, credit the creator where appropriate, and follow Instagram’s terms and the copyright rules where you live.
Step-by-step help is in the Reels audio to MP3 guide. For the video itself, try the Reels downloader or the HD video downloader, and for everything else start at the main Instagram downloader.
Paste the link of one Reel or video, not a profile, a photo post, a search page or a hashtag page. Only video posts carry audio.
Private, deleted or region-restricted Reels and videos may not work. Check that you can open the post without logging in.
An incomplete link is a common cause. Copy it again from the Share menu in Instagram and paste it in full.
Some Reels and videos are silent, muted or have their sound removed. A silent clip has no audio file to download.
If another Reel works, the problem is with the first post, not with your device or browser.
Only with permission. Reuse downloaded audio only with permission from the creator and, where music is involved, the rights holder. Saving audio for personal listening is not the same as publishing it in your own video or advert. Follow Instagram’s terms and the copyright rules where you live.
Open the Reel or video in Instagram, copy its link, paste the link into the box at the top of this page, press Download and save the audio file shown in the result.
