Reels are short vertical videos from public accounts. This page is made for Reel links. If your link is a normal video post, a photo or a carousel, use the main downloader or the photo page instead. Private, deleted or restricted Reels cannot be downloaded.
Reels are short vertical videos, and Instagram does not give you a simple save-to-device button for most of them. This page lets you download a public Reel as a video file that you can watch offline.
A Reel link usually starts with instagram.com/reel/. Copy the link of one specific Reel from the Share menu. Links to profiles, stories or the Reels tab do not work.
In the Instagram app, open the Reel, tap the Share arrow and choose Copy link. In a browser, open the Reel and copy the address from the address bar.
The saved file is the version the public Reel provides, and it plays with its sound when the Reel includes it. HD is saved when the Reel offers it, and a low-resolution upload stays low-resolution. More about this in the HD video downloader.
Need pictures instead? The photo downloader and the main Instagram downloader handle photos and carousels. For a walkthrough, read how to download Instagram Reels.
Use the link of a single Reel, not a profile, story or search page.
Private, deleted or region-restricted Reels may not work. Check that you can open the Reel without logging in.
An incomplete link is a common cause. Copy it again from the Share menu in Instagram and paste it in full.
If another public Reel works, the problem is with the first Reel, not with your device or browser.
Only if you own it or have permission from the creator. Reels can contain music, faces and brand material that belong to other people. Saving a Reel for personal use is one thing, but reposting it without permission can break copyright and privacy rules. Follow Instagram's terms and the law where you live.
